European pallet service provider, IPP Logipal, has been awarded a new three-year contract with Northern Ireland based bread manufacturer Genesis Breads.

From humble beginnings as a home bakery shop in Magherafelt, County Derry, in 1968, Genesis Breads today employs 148 people and supplies quality breads to customers including Dunnes Stores, Sainsbury’s and Tesco.

IPP Logipal is supplying 1200x1000mm standard pallets from its Portadown depot for products delivered to major retailers in the UK and Ireland.

Orders are received on a standing order basis with the added flexibility of just two days notice required to meet changes to the customer’s needs.

IPP Logipal handles all palletised product for Genesis Breads with the agreement including any subsequent increase in market demand.

Using its simple one-way trip system, IPP Logipal collects the pallets direct from the retailer and carries out the necessary quality control inspections before returning to the customer for re-use.

Eoghan Walls, warehouse manager at Genesis Breads, says: “IPP Logipal gives us an easy solution to our distribution needs, keeping it as simple as it should be.

“The IT and invoicing procedures involve the minimum of paperwork, which is free of any hassles in comparison with other pallet providers.

“As our products have a very short shelf-life, delivery is one of the most important aspects of our supply chain. With the high quality of IPP Logipal pallets, we can rest assured that our customers will receive Genesis Breads in its premium condition.”
