History

The history of the group goes back over one hundred years in some cases. Throughout this time the group has remained in the private family ownership.

Up until and into the 1990’s the Faber Halbertsma Group had grown organically and by acquisition to become the largest pallet maker in Europe operating across Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France.

The pallet rental activity of the Group then developed;

1997 – Introduction of Pallet Return System (PRS)

As pallet standardisation was adopted in the chemical industry PRS was established in 1997 to rent specialist (CP equivalent) pallets to the plastics industry. This business has since grown to become a significant specialist rental business in its chosen sector across Europe.

1998 - Acquisition of International Pallet Pool (IPP)

In 1998 the Faber Halbertsma Group acquired from Philips the global electronics business the activities of what became International Pallet Pool (IPP) This business has since grown into a key electronics rental business in both the upstream and waste sectors.

2000 - Acquisition Logipal France

The Group acquired the established French pallet pool business “Logipal” in 2000. IPP and Logipal came together as IPP Logipal. Since acquisition the French activity has grown substantially and today IPP Logipal is one of the established pallet pool players in France.

2005 - IPP Logipal in the UK and Ireland

IPP Logipal established its UK &I business at the start of 2005 and this business has grown to today become a key player in the UK&I market and the fastest growing pallet pooler in the UK&I.
